Rehabilitation after abdominoplasty requires careful adherence to recommendations, both from the patient and the doctor. Strict adherence to the surgeon’s instructions helps to minimize the risk of complications and achieve the best result from both a functional and aesthetic point of view. The literature review presents current information on the main complications of abdominoplasty, risk factors and the frequency of their development. Data on the clinical manifestations of complications are provided. Recommendations for patient management are summarized and necessary rehabilitation measures for the prevention of complications at different stages of the postoperative period are considered.
