Objective. Evaluation of the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of vulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS), taking into account the data of the visual analogue scale using various methods of therapy.
Methods. The study included 45 women with a confirmed diagnosis of VLS. Depending on the therapy, the groups are divided into subgroups. Group 1A – patients with VLS who were prescribed topical glucocorticosteroid (tGCS), group 1B – patients with VLS who were prescribed photodynamic therapy (PDT), group 1C – patients with VLS who were prescribed combined treatment: tGCS + PDT. Results. Data obtained indicate that combination therapy with tGCS and PDT is the method of choice for the treatment of vulvar lichen sclerosus.
