Based on the study of infectious mononucleosis in 280 hospitalized patients, features of the disease depending on the etiology, age and sex of the patients are presented; and three clinical- pathogenetical syndromes are identified (lymphoproliferative-tonsillar, lymphoproliferative- parenchymal and lymphstatic ectodermal syndromes). The evolution of clinical manifestations and immunological parameters in patients with infectious mononucleosis against the background of use of Genferon Light rectally are discribed. The findings suggest the therapeutic efficacy of Genferon Light in the complex treatment of infectious mononucleosis in children.
