ASTHENIC AND DEPRESSIVE DISORDERS IN ELDERLY PATIENTS IN OUTPATIENT PRACTICE (DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY)

The article discusses the various diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of some mental disorders in elderly patients, which are encountered in outpatient daily practice (therapeutics, neurologists). Such mental disorders as asthenic syndrome, depression, dementia with signs of cognitive deficits that further complicates the differential diagnostic search for non-psychiatric specialists are considered. Some approaches to the treatment of these conditions are discussed, drugs used for this purpose are presented.
