TREATMENT OF ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION IN PATIENTS WITH LIVER PATHOLOGY

Antihypertensive drugs of different pharmacological groups are used for the correction of blood pressure in patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and associated pathology of the digestive system. In the treatment of hypertensive patients with liver diseases,hydrophilic antihypertensive agents that are not metabolized by the liver should be used. Some antihypertensive drugs have a positive effect on the state of the gastrointestinal tract of hypertensive patients, increasing tone of the lower esophageal sphincter, preventing gastro-oesophageal reflux, improving blood flow to the stomach, and have a protective effect on the gastric mucosa in peptic ulcer disease, and reduce the pressure in the portal system in liver cirrhosis.
