Drug quality control laboratories in the Ukraine participate in the proficiency testing programmes for analytical chemists organized by WHO and FIP. This was made feasible by implementing WHO guidelines on Good Drug Quality Control Laboratory Practices, PIC recommendations on quality systems for official medicines control laboratories, as well as the international harmonised protocol for the proficiency testing of analytical laboratories, jointly developed by ISO, IUPAC and AOAC. A number of other internationally recognized guidance documents, such as ISO standards and European norms were also implemented.
